Peer tutors offer subject-specific tutoring to assist students in understanding course concepts, homework assignments, and preparing for exams.
Writing consultants are also available to provide guidance in all stages of the writing process, including brainstorming, research, content development, organization, formatting, and citations.
Peer tutors and writing consultants aim to provide support that encourages students to become self-motivated, independent learners over time.

Peer tutors are Wartburg students who have been successful in their departments and have a desire to help other students succeed. They are selected based on their demonstrated tutoring philosophy and must meet the following qualificiations:
As successful students, peer tutors and writing consultants share their content knowledge, in-class experience, and motivation to learn as they create a friendly, inclusive environment that fosters student-defined academic success.
Students can schedule in advance by clicking the link above. There, you can select the specific course you need additional support in, and it will show you a list of available tutors and times.
Walk-in appointments also are welcome. However, to ensure that a peer will be available to assist you with you specific subject matter, we recommend booking in advance.
