Wartburg College will offer an Advent/Christmas Candlelight Vespers service Sunday, Dec. 13, in Wartburg Chapel.
The 7 p.m. community worship service will feature familiar Christmas carols, candlelight and a rich variety of music.
Wartburg’s Flute Choir, directed by Dominique Cawley, senior lecturer in music; Karen Black, professor of music and college organist; the Psalm 149 dance group; and student vocalists will participate in the service.
Scripture readings will focus on the Christmas story with a homily by Pastor Ramona Bouzard, dean of the chapel and Moehlmann Chaplaincy Chair. Campus pastor Brian Beckstrom will lead worship.
