Barbara Gamez Sims is the new president of the Wartburg College Alumni Board.

 

The 1998 graduate earned a law degree from Marquette University Law School and resides in Rochester, Minn., where she is a technology licensing manager at Mayo Clinic.

 

Thomas Buchheim, a 1993 graduate living in Sun Prairie, Wis., is the new alumni board president-elect. He is the executive social media advisor for American Family Insurance.

 

New members of the alumni board are:

 

  • Gerald Oberheu, a 1962 graduate living in Cedar Falls. The retiree worked as a distributions department manager with Deere Power Systems Group.
  • Mark Hargrafen, a 1999 graduate and nursing and critical care unit services manager with ChildServe in Johnston. He lives in Grimes.
  • Dr. Michael Franzman, a 2000 graduate living in Bettendorf. He is a periodontist serving the Quad Cities.
  • Natalie Gemberling, a 2012 graduate and volunteer engagement associate at Kingdom House in St. Louis, where she resides.
