The Wartburg Community Symphony Association will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, May 19, 6:30 p.m., in McCoy East of Saemann Student Center. All individuals and families who have purchased memberships may vote at the annual meeting. The agenda includes updating the by-laws and reports from the music director/conductor and committees.

Current board members are Jon Tehven, president; Craig Moerer, vice president; Jo Bagelmann and Kate Huffman, student intern, secretary; and Carolyn Hughes, executive secretary and treasurer; Laura Frerking, Amy Hunzelman, Rev. Charles Infelt, Marilyn Johnson, Stephanie Klemetson, Chris Knudson, Elaine Main, Emily Neuendorf, Dr. Brian Pfaltzgraff, Jennifer Jones Ruiz, Ellen Chabot Sheckler, and Dr. William Wagner. Dr. Daniel Kaplunas is music director and conductor; Dr. Jennifer Larson is ex-officio member; and Hunter Gray is student intern. Pfaltzgraff is from Readlyn; the rest are from Waverly.

 The Wartburg Community Symphony Orchestra is a semi-professional orchestra of professional musicians, select Wartburg College students, high school students, and area musicians. Its goal is to enhance Northeast Iowa’s cultural vitality through symphonic music concerts and educational programming.
