Wartburg College Global Admissions will host counselors from six United World College schools Saturday, April 18.

The 12 United World Colleges on five continents provide a challenging educational experience to a diverse cross-section of students. Since 2000, the Davis United World College Scholars Program has provided funding for nearly 6,200 students from 148 countries to attend school in the U.S. Seventy UWC graduates and Davis UWC Scholars are enrolled at Wartburg.

The counselors, on a two-week tour of U.S. colleges hosting their students, represent schools in Norway, Wales, Italy, Bosnia, Costa Rica and the Netherlands. Other Midwest schools on the tour include Luther College in Decorah and Macalester and St. Olaf colleges in Minnesota.

This will be the first time Wartburg has hosted counselors from UWC institutions.

“Wartburg College is proud of our long-standing relationship with United World Colleges and their campuses around the world,” said Todd Coleman, assistant vice president for admissions. “We are excited to have them on campus as the mission and values of UWC institutions closely mirror those of Wartburg College.”
