The Wartburg College Symphonic Band will perform its spring concert Friday, April 10, at 7 p.m., in Neumann Auditorium.

The band, under the direction of Scott Muntefering, will perform “In Flight” and “From Gold” by Sam Hazo, “With Pleasure” by John Philip Sousa, “Second Suite in F” by Gustav Holst and “Halo” by Ralph Ford.

“I expect that we will get great audience feedback at the concert. We have really put in a lot of effort this semester, and I believe that this will be a fantastic concert,” said Mollie Emerson, junior Symphonic Band member.

All senior band members will be honored during the performance.

“At the beginning of the year, we started over at the bottom and rebuilt all our musical knowledge and then took it past what we were comfortable with. We have grown as a group, and I feel like that shows in how we sound,” Emerson said.

A free concert by the Wartburg College Knightliters jazz band immediately follows in the Saemann Student Center’s McCaskey Lyceum.
