Community members interested in learning more about the Gentlemen of The Road two-day music festival coming to Waverly this summer are invited to a community forum Wednesday, April 1, 7 p.m., in the Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School auditorium.

Representatives from the city, the Chamber of Commerce, Wartburg College and Madison House Presents, the tour’s promotion agency, will make a presentation and be available to address questions regarding tickets, concert venues, parking, security, vendor opportunities and volunteering, as well as any other questions or concerns community members may have.

A list of frequently asked questions also will be available at www.waverlyia.com.

The festival — one of four domestic Stopover locations for Grammy-winning Mumford and Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road tour — will bring up to an estimated 35,000 people to town June 19-20. The British folk rock band will be joined by The Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket, Dawes, Blake Mills, Jenny Lewis, The Maccabees, The Very Best, Rubblebucket and JEFF The Brotherhood. Those acts will be staged on Wartburg’s athletic fields, and a downtown stage will feature local and regional acts.

Those unable to attend may email waverlygotr@gmail.com with questions or call the Chamber of Commerce at 319-352-4526 or Waverly city offices at 319-352-9211. More information about the festival and tickets is available at www.gentlemenoftheroad.com.
