Wartburg College men’s choirs Ritterchor and Festeburg will give their annual spring concert Sunday, March 29. The 4 p.m. performance in Wartburg Chapel is free and open to the public.

The varied program features several soloists, music in six languages and beloved selections such as “Danny Boy,” “Loch Lomond” and Vocal Point’s arrangement of “Nearer My God to Thee.”

Ritterchor (“Knights Choir” in German) is under the direction of Lee Nelson, director of choral activities. Founded in 1997, it follows Wartburg’s rich German Lutheran tradition of choral singing and connection with Wartburg Castle, where Martin Luther once lived disguised as a knight.

Festeburg is a nine-member, student-led ensemble whose repertoire ranges from works in the classical choral canon to contemporary pop.
