The Wartburg College Wind Ensemble will perform at Western Dubuque High School Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be in conjunction with the Western Dubuque High School Concert Band, under the direction of Michael Omarzu.

The concert will feature selections from the ensemble’s U.S. tour in April. The program will cover a range of emotions and styles and include works by John Philip Sousa and Karl King, as well as Samuel Hazo, who directed the Meistersinger Honor Band Festival at Wartburg last month.

A donation will be taken to support Wartburg student scholarships and music tours.

The Wind Ensemble, conducted by Craig Hancock, is part of the Wartburg College Concert Bands program. It tours internationally every third year during Wartburg’s May Term.
