Director Luis Argueta will host a screening of his latest documentary, “ABRAZOS,” Wednesday, March 18, at Wartburg College.

The free film begins at 7 p.m. in Science Center 102. A question and answer session with Argueta will follow.

“ABRAZOS” tells the transformational journey of a group of 14 U.S.-citizen children who travel from Minnesota to Guatemala to meet their grandparents for the first time. After being separated for nearly two decades, these families are able to share stories, strengthen traditions and begin to reconstruct their cultural identity.

Argueta is known in Iowa for “abUSed: The Postville Raid,” which weaves personal stories of those affected by the 2008 immigration raid at Agriprocessors with a national debate about immigration.
