As Wartburg College is committed to maintaining a campus atmosphere of safety and respect, we are launching a prevention and awareness program relating to sexual misconduct and related offenses. This program reflects the goals and meets the requirements of the 2013 federal Campus Save Act.

All students, faculty, and staff are required this term to complete the online training module Haven: Understanding Sexual Assault, created by EverFi, a leading education technology company. This training will be required on an annual basis. Students must complete the hour-long course before Winter Break, which begins Friday, Feb. 27. Students will not be able to register for 2015-16 classes until they have done so. Detailed instructions are below.

Questions regarding this new initiative can be directed to Student Life administrators or to studentlife@wartburg.edu

Thanks for understanding the value of education on this important topic, and we hope this program empowers you to make well-informed decisions that affect your college years and beyond.

Notes:

  • You may take the course in multiple sittings, saving work as you go.
  • You will need Internet access and audio capabilities. Should you experience problems, technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the “Help” link within the course.
  • The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.

When you receive the post-quiz “Thank You for Taking Haven!” message and can scroll through the answers to the quiz, you have completed the portion of the training necessary to be eligible to register for classes. If completion is past the Feb. 27 deadline, please recognize one business day is required to lift the hold on your registration.

Click the button “Return to Dashboard” at the bottom of the “Thank You” page to review your progress. The Dashboard should include “Current Part – In Intersession.” By clicking the “Course Progress” button, all items should state “Completed” or “Ends” (Intersession) other than the “Part 2 – Intersession Survey,” which should be blank, indicating you will complete it 30 days after Part 1 completion.
