The Tournées Film Festival is coming to Wartburg College. Hosted by Wartburg’s French program, it begins Monday, Jan. 26, and continues Jan. 29, Feb. 3, Feb. 12, Feb. 17 and Feb. 25. The free showings will be at 6 p.m. in Whitehouse Business Center and are open to the public.

Students in Wartburg’s French film course will provide context for the films, which span generational and geographic borders and a variety of genres. The festival lineup is available on the Wartburg French Club Facebook page.

“This film festival is a unique opportunity for residents of the Cedar Valley to view a wide selection of new and classic subtitled French films without having to leave the area,” said Vanessa Doriott Anderson, assistant professor of French.

The Tournées Film Festival, in its 19th year, brings French cinema to campuses across America. It is a program of the French-American Culture Exchange, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy.
