The Wartburg College Knightliters Jazz Band will open its season Saturday, Nov. 15, with a free concert at 8 p.m. in Saemann Student Center’s McCaskey Lyceum.

The Knightliters will perform jazz standards “Blue Bossa” by Kenny Dorham and “Groovin’ High” by Dizzy Gillespie, as well as works by Iowa composer Paul Clark. The group’s autumn concert also will feature student soloists and the Wartburg Flute Choir, under the direction of Dominique Cawley.

“Our upcoming concert has a very interesting mix of jazz and Latin music styles,” said Allan Jacobson, Knightliters director.
