Catherine Rodland, artist in residence at St. Olaf College, will be the guest artist at Wartburg College’s “Bach’s Lunch” organ series Friday, Nov. 14.

The 12:30 p.m. performance in Wartburg Chapel will be preceded by a noon lunch and explanation of the program in Chapel Commons. Rodland will perform several pieces by J.S. Bach.

Rodland is a prizewinner in several competitions, including the American Guild of Organists Young Artists Competition, Calgary International Organ Competition and International Organ Competition at the University of Michigan, where she placed first. 

At St. Olaf, Rodland teaches organ, music theory and ear training.

Rodland, who performs throughout the U.S. and Canada, has released two CDs: “Dedication” and “American Weavings.”

She earned Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
