Collages and quilts created by two alumni will be featured at an exhibition opening Friday, Sept. 5, at Wartburg College’s Waldemar A. Schmidt Gallery.

“Double Vision,” showcasing creations by spouses David and Rebecca Kamm, will run through Wednesday, Oct. 22. A reception with the artists will be Friday, Oct. 17, 6-8 p.m., during Homecoming weekend. The Kamms are members of Wartburg’s Class of 1974, which will hold its 40-year reunion Oct. 18.

David Kamm, art gallery coordinator and assistant art professor at Luther College, forms collages from original prints including woodcuts, linocuts and etchings. He has worked in Russia through the Fulbright Study Abroad program, as an artist-in-residence at the Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion in Washington, D.C., and at Harvard University as a member of the Institute of Lutheran Scholars.

Rebecca Kamm, a communication professor at Northeast Iowa Community College, is a fiber artist and will exhibit large fabric quilts. She is a Fulbright scholar and National Endowment for the Humanities participant.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery, in Bachman Fine Arts Center, is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
