Knightliters’ Spring Jazz Concert will be Friday, April 11

Wartburg College’s Knightliters jazz band will celebrate the change in seasons with its annual Spring Jazz Concert Friday, April 11.

The ensemble directed by Allan Jacobson will perform songs by Dizzy Gillespie, Bob Mintzer, Antonio Carlos Jobim and others in McCaskey Lyceum in  Saemann Student Center beginning at 8 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

Hallie Kinman, a senior from Norwalk and member of the Castle Singers jazz ensemble, will be the special guest vocalist.

The student-directed 9th Street Jazz Band II also will perform

The College and Black Student Union partnered to bring Rodney Lewis of Rodney's Kitchen in Waterloo to campus to prepare a traditional Black meal for dinner in Mensa as part of the College and organization's celebration of Black History Month, as reported by the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.
