Dr. Stephen Main will present “Wild Flowers and Tame Flowers” during Keep on Learning at Wartburg College beginning Thursday, April 3.

Main, Wartburg College professor emeritus of biology, will discuss the geological and biological interactions that have produced the scenery in the Earth’s temperate regions, Iowa’s wildflowers, prairie and alpine flowers, and botanical gardens around the world.

Classes are on consecutive Thursdays — April 3, 17, 24 and May 1 — in the Heritage Room of Saemann Student Center. Coffee is served at 9 a.m., followed by the class from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is not required. The first class of each session is free; a $30 fee is due at the second class. Parking is available near Saemann Student Center for those entering campus on Wartburg Boulevard.

The Wartburg Alumni and Parent Relations Office coordinates Keep on Learning with the assistance of a volunteer committee. For more information, call 319-352-8491 or email alumni@wartburg.edu.
