The work of 10 ceramicists will be on display when the “Twenty Dirty Hands” exhibit comes to Wartburg College beginning Friday, Nov. 1.

The ceramicists from Mississippi River towns in northeast Iowa and northwest Illinois will be featured at the Waldemar E. Schmidt Gallery in the Bachman Fine Arts Center, Nov. 1-Dec. 18. The exhibit is free and open to the public 8 a.m.-5 p.m. daily or by appointment.

The opening reception is Friday, Nov. 8, 6-8 p.m., in the gallery.

The artisans, who recently held their annual “Twenty Dirty Hands Pottery Tour” in Galena, Ill., will showcase various manipulations of the ceramic medium — from sculptural to functional — with each ceramicist taking a unique approach.
