Dr. Charles Figura will examine “Nuclear Power: History and Future” during the Keep on Learning session at Wartburg College beginning Thursday, Oct. 31.

Figura, a professor of physics, will describe the development of nuclear power, the physics and engineering of nuclear reactors, nuclear waste and catastrophes, and alternatives for the future. The classes are on consecutive Thursdays — Oct. 31, Nov. 7, 14 and 21 — in the Heritage Room of Saemann Student Center.

Coffee is served at 9 a.m., followed by the class from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Pre-registration is not required. The first class of each session is free; a $30 fee is due at the second class. Parking is available in the lots and on the streets directly east of Saemann Student Center.
