The Kenya Safari Acrobats kick off the Wartburg College Artist Series with the annual family show Saturday.

The Kenya Safari Acrobats will perform non-stop gravity-defying human pyramids, balancing, tumbling, limbo dancing, hurling through hoops and breathtaking contortions — while clapping to a joyful Benga beat — during their 7:30 p.m. performance in Neumann Auditorium.

The gymnasts combine artistry with humor and playfulness and a unique blend of traditional arts and circus skills in classic African style.

Adult tickets are $15-25. Student tickets (K-12) are $10. Guests can purchase up to two $2 youth tickets (12 years and younger) for every adult ticket. Wartburg students are admitted free with their college ID.

Buffet dinners are available beforehand. Dinner tickets are $18.75 per person and include dinner and a glass of wine.

The ticket office is open from noon to 4 p.m. weekdays at the information center in Saemann Student Center, 319-352-8691. Tickets also may be purchased at the box office or online at www.wartburg.edu/artist.
