Dr. Randall Harlow, a visiting professor at the University of Northern Iowa, will be the guest artist when Wartburg College’s monthly “Bach’s Lunch” series resumes Friday, Sept. 13.

Harlow will perform three works by German composer and organist Johann Frederick Ludwig Thiele (1816-48) at 12:30 p.m. in the Wartburg Chapel, preceded by a noon lunch and explanation of the program in the Chapel Commons.

Harlow received his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music, which in 2008 awarded him its annual Presser Music Award for “demonstrating excellence and outstanding promise for a distinguished career in the field of music.”

His program will include Ludwig Thiele’s “Concertsatz in C-minor,” “Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue,” and “Concertsatz in Eb-minor.”

Attendees are invited to bring a lunch or order one from Wartburg’s Den-Rittersaal by Wednesday by contacting Marcia Haugen, music department office coordinator, at marcia.haugen@wartburg.edu or 352-8300.
