Hundreds of high school students will attend Iowa Private College Week sessions at Wartburg College Aug. 5-9.

Iowa Private College Week enables prospective students to learn about academic programs, student life and financial aid at 26 Iowa private colleges. Wartburg annually ranks first or second in IPCW student visits with more than 500, and a third of those students eventually enroll at the college.

Tours and information will be offered daily at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at each campus. Wartburg personalizes the students’ experience with their photo featured on the cover of the college’s viewbook magazine, which provides prospective students with information about the school and financial aid.

After a visit to each private college, students receive a stamp on an IPCW “passport.” After three or more stamps, the student is eligible for one of two $500 bookstore vouchers awarded at the college where he or she enrolls. Families with a valid IPCW passport also will receive a 5-cent per gallon gasoline discount at Casey’s General Stores.

Students can register at www.wartburg.edu/admissions/ipcw.html or by calling 800 772-2085.

More than 48,000 students are enrolled at Iowa’s independent, nonprofit private colleges.
