Six Wartburg students will perform during the final “Bach’s Lunch” of the academic year Friday, April 12.
The hour-long program begins with a noon lunch and explanation of the music in the Chapel Commons, followed by a 30-minute recital in the chapel. The six students of Dr. Karen Black, professor of music and Rudi Inselmann Endowed Professor in Organ, and their selections are:
- “Toccata in d minor,” Katelyn Ewing, sophomore, Le Mars.
- “Fugue in g minor, “ Ben Harting, senior, Brandon.
- “Wachet auf, ruf uns die Stimme,” Megumi Otaki, sophomore, Tokyo, Japan.
- “Prelude and Fugue in C Major,” Laura DePenning, junior, Pella.
- “Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ” and “Christ lag in Todesbanden,” Colleen Tague, junior, DeWitt.
- “Prelude in a minor,” Kaitlynn Eaton, sophomore, Davenport.
Attendees are invited to bring a lunch.
