The life and achievements of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright will be the next topic of Keep on Learning at Wartburg College.

Don Meyer, a former architect who is now Wartburg’s director of development, will discuss “The Man, The Architect, The Genius” on Thursday mornings — April 4, 18, 25 and May 2.

Meyer spent 12 years as an architect before becoming a college administrator. He is a fan of Wright, who is known for the “Prairie Style” — the first solely American architectural style. The class will review Wright’s achievements, influences and designs along with the highs and lows of his personal life and career. The sessions will combine lectures, discussions and imagery.

Keep on Learning meets in the Heritage Room of Saemann Student Center, beginning with coffee at 9 a.m., followed by the presentation from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Parking is available near Saemann Student Center for those entering campus on Wartburg Boulevard.

Pre-registration is not required, and a $30 fee is payable at the second class.

The Wartburg Alumni and Parent Relations Office coordinates Keep on Learning with the assistance of a volunteer committee. For more information call 319-352-8491 or e-mail alumni@wartburg.edu.
