Be Still and Know: An event for busy women of all ages — St. Paul’s and Redeemer Lutheran churches present Trish Bruxvoort-Colligan, singer/songwriter and Waverly native, whose experiences enable her to weave together her love of stories, poetry, music, dream work, and the arts. Break-out sessions by Cyndi Campbell from Ecker’s; Jayne Hall, “What’s Hanging On Your Hat Rack?”; and Trish Bruxvoort-Colligan, “Embodied: A Full-Sensory Life of Prayer and Soul.” Saturday, Jan. 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Paul’s. Radon awareness and informational meeting — The Bremer Iowa State University Extension will provide information about radon, the second-leading cause of lung cancer, at a meeting Thursday, Jan. 10, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Waverly Public Library, 1500 E. Bremer Ave. Radon levels are elevated in Bremer County and Iowa. Learn how radon enters homes and receive a free test kit to test your home.
