Soprano Rachel Schutz and pianist Jonathan Korth, who have appeared in recitals around the world, will perform at Wartburg College Friday, Sept. 28.

Schutz and Korth will present “Routine to Remarkable, an Evening of Song and Piano Music” at 7:30 p.m. in Sandra Rada Orchestra Hall of Bachman Fine Arts Center. Their wide-ranging program includes selections from Wolfgang Mozart, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Richard Rogers and George Gershwin.

The Welsh-born Schutz and Forest City native Korth have performed together on many national and international concert stages since graduating from Stony Brook University in New York. Their tours have taken them throughout the United States, China, Taiwan and Germany since 2003.

Schutz has sung with the Boston Pops Orchestra, at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, at Carnegie Hall in New York City and with the Santa Fe Opera. The Boston Globe praised her “diamantine high notes and giddy, delirious coloratura.”

Korth, who has taught at the University of Hawaii at Manoa since 2008, has had a multifaceted career as a soloist, chamber musician and a collaborator with members of the nation’s leading orchestra. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2002.

The recital is free and open to the public.
