Wartburg College seniors were honored for outstanding achievements during the Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship Convocation April 12.
Thirty students were cited for department awards in their academic subject areas, while the 40 graduating seniors with the highest cumulative grade-point averages received gold-colored honor cords to be worn at the May 27 commencement ceremony.
Seniors in the Leadership Certificate Program were recognized for fulfilling the requirements of that academic minor, which promotes “taking responsibility for our communities and making them better through public action.”
In addition, seniors were honored for being included in “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities,” which honors outstanding campus leaders for their scholastic and community achievements.
