2020 GENERAL ELECTION
ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS VERSION

Follow these three steps to vote.

If you live on campus and plan to vote in Waverly, you should register using Wartburg as your address: 100 Wartburg Blvd., Waverly, IA 50677

The early registration deadline in Iowa is Oct. 24. Register using one of the options below.

OPTION 1: Mail in Registration
Download this form and return completed registration forms to the Bremer County Auditor’s office: 415 E. Bremer Ave., Waverly, IA 50677.

OPTION 2: Online Registration (Iowa Residents Only)
Visit this website to register onlineYou must have an Iowa driver’s license/ID number to register online.

OPTION 3: Register at the Polls
You can register at the polls when you vote early or on election day. Learn more about Iowa voter registration.

Decide when and where you are going to vote. Encourage others to make a plan as well!

EARLY VOTING OPTION #1: Vote in person starting Oct. 5 at the Bremer County Courthouse (415 E Bremer Ave.)

EARLY VOTING OPTION #2: Vote in person at the satellite location in the McCaskey Lyceum on Wartburg’s campus Thursday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Voter registration forms will be available for new registrations and changes to registrations for people already registered in the county. IDs are required. You must show one of the following: a valid Iowa driver’s license, Iowa non-operator ID, U.S. passport, or Iowa voter ID card. Out-of-state IDs will be accepted to prove identity. Students living on campus will be provided with a proof of campus residency. 

VOTE ON ELECTION DAY: Polls open Nov. 3 from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Students who live in all residence halls except The Manors and Knights Village will vote in Waverly Ward 3: Waverly Fire Station, 123 1st Ave SW. Students who live in The Manors and Knights Village will vote in Waverly Ward 5: Redeemer Luther Church (S Entrance), 2001 W. Bremer Ave.

Absentee and Absentee In-Person voting is available 29 days before each election.
You may vote absentee in-person at 124 2nd St. NE (two blocks west of the courthouse), Waverly. Voting will be open Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting Oct. 5, 2020.

Additional days include Saturday, Oct. 24, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Oct. 31, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Monday, Nov. 2, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. 
  • Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 2, 2020
  • Absentee ballots may be hand delivered to the Auditor’s Office on General Election Day, Nov. 3, 2020 by 9 p.m.
