After earning her B.A. at Wartburg in 2008, Ellen attended Western Illinois University and earned a Master of Science in college student personnel. From there, her professional career has taken her around the Midwest, working in residence life for five years, and then for six years serving as the assistant director of student engagement at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also volunteers with the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA), where she currently serves on the live events action group. Now with her move back to Wartburg in 2021, she works with alumni, parents, friends and students to support the Annual Fund and engage them in the life of the college.
