WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: I plan to attend Des Moines University with hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WARTBURG: I chose Wartburg because of the rich athletic history and the strong community that I felt when on campus for a visit.
HOW DID YOU DECIDE ON YOUR MAJOR: I have had a dream to be a physical therapist ever since I was young. I want to help people get back to feeling like themselves and give them their confidence back.
HOW HAS WARTBURG SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS IN YOUR FIELD: Wartburg’s challenging courses have made me a more well-rounded student whose studying and critical-thinking skills have been enhanced greatly since my first year here. I have been able to communicate and work with individuals who have helped me become the student that I am today. I am confident that I can achieve and chase my dreams with great purpose and drive after attending Wartburg.
WHAT SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES HAVE YOU HAD AT WARTBURG: I helped Dr. Patricia Dietz with her research throughout the last couple of years. She was looking at the correlation between power and velocity when athletes perform a back squat. I was fortunate enough to help her collect data and see some of the results.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WARTBURG MEMORY: My time at Wartburg has been full of memories that will last a lifetime. From playing baseball in Florida with some of my best friends to winning a conference championship in track and field, choosing just one memory would be an injustice to all of my other amazing memories. I am very thankful and blessed to have been surrounded by amazing teammates, coaches, professors, and peers here at Wartburg who have made these past four years very special.
ADVICE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: My advice to prospective students would be to chase your dreams. If there is something that you want to achieve or try, DO IT! You will never regret chasing your dream and failing, but you may regret not trying. Wartburg provides great opportunities to chase your dreams. I have been involved in a great number of activities here at Wartburg. It was very challenging at times, but extremely worth it. I met some amazing people and built relationships that will last a lifetime. I am so happy I decided to chase my dreams and pursue my passions at Wartburg.
WHY IS WARTBURG WORTH IT: Wartburg has provided me with opportunities that I never could have imagined. I have been able to chase my dreams and accomplish many of my goals thanks to the amazing people I have met along the way. I have made friends and memories that will last a lifetime. I am not sure I would be where I am today as an athlete, student, and person if it wasn’t for the outstanding coaches, trainers, facilities, and professors. I am blessed to be a Knight for life!
