Dr. Michael Bechtel's Ioponics program, which was recently selected for the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council's STEM Scale-Up Program, was featured in the Driftless Journal. Bechtel ’94 worked with multiple science, education, business, and engineering students to create this program which includes an aquaponics set-up that can be scaled for home or classroom use and cross-curricular lesson plans that align with the Iowa Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
