The Wartburg College Wind Ensemble will offer a preview of its central European tour concert with a performance Sunday, April 3, in Neumann Auditorium on the Wartburg campus.

The 2 p.m. performance will include “Festive Overture” by Dmitri Shostakovich, “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa, “Irish Tune from County Derry” by Percy Grainger, “Florentiner March” by Julius Fucik and “Emperor Waltz” by Johann Strauss as well as many more.

Also featured on the concert is tenor soloist Brian Pfaltzgraff, Wartburg College professor of voice.

Craig A. Hancock, director of bands and professor of music, directs the 58-member ensemble. The band will tour in the Czech Republic, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Italy and England during the college’s May Term.

The concert is free and open to the public.
