Ninety Wartburg College students have received leadership certificates after completing requirements for the leadership education minor.

To earn the minor, students must pass six courses, including three designated leadership courses; complete one significant experience in a cultural environment different than their own; work with a group toward a common goal serving a community interest; design and implement a service project; and develop a written portfolio documenting and reflecting on their achievements.

The students were honored at the Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship Convocation April 11.

Wartburg College, which has an enrollment of 1,747, is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is internationally recognized for community engagement.
