Four Wartburg College faculty receive tenure, promotion

The Wartburg College Board of Regents has approved tenure and promotion for four professors. Those awarded tenure are:
- Murad Mahmoud, an assistant professor of engineering science. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Jordan and a doctorate from Utah State University.
- Amy Pilcher, an assistant professor of business administration, accounting and economics. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount Mercy University and master’s and doctoral degrees from Iowa State University.
- Nana Quaicoe, an assistant professor of economics and the James A. Leach Chair in Banking and Monetary Economics. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Dordt College, a master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a doctorate from Southern Illinois University.
- Marta Ramírez Martínez, an assistant professor of Spanish. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Universitat de les Illes Balears in Spain and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Arizona.
They will be promoted to associate professors in September.
