For the first time in 10 years, the works of eight current and former Wartburg College Department of Art faculty and staff will fill the Waldemar A. Schmidt Gallery, beginning Monday, Oct. 31.

The Wartburg Faculty Exhibition will run through Dec. 11. A reception will be Friday, Nov. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The exhibit will feature pieces from Jennifer Lynn Bates, Christiana Byrne, Brittany Deal, Barbara Fedeler, David Herwaldt, Rick Knivsland, Johanna Kramer-Weston and Thomas Payne. Pieces will include portraits of famous (or infamous) dictators, jewelry with a social message, photography and photographic blueprints, drawings and landscapes, ceramics and hot wax paintings.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery, in Bachman Fine Arts Center, is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
