Tokyo Outfly 2016

Wartburg professor Kunihiko Terasawa hosted 12 Wartburg alumni and current students at the fourth annual Tokyo Outfly July 16.

Attendees included Yoshitsugu Ujō (2004), Sayumi Abe (2006), Shigeru Ōta (2007), Hiroyuki Yokota (2007), Satoru Ishikawa (2007), Ayako Shimizu (2008) and Yumi Mikajiri (2008), as well as current students Naoya Kawaida and Fumiya Kitahara, who will graduate in 2017, and Tomokazu Kimura, who will graduate in 2018.

Terasawa, an assistant professor of religion, said the celebration honored the recent graduation of Rina Katsura and Kyōsuke Sumida, who also were in attendance.

The group, which gathered at Ivy Hall in Tokyo, also celebrated Ōta’s move to Tokyo, Mikajiri’s start as a medical doctor, Ishikawa’s progression toward a doctorate in computer science in Finland and several other professional successes.

They also shared recent family happenings and discussed the possibility of their children coming to Wartburg.
