The Waverly Farmers Market and about 50 vendors offering a wide array of wellness information will be at the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center Saturday, April 25, 8:30-11:30 a.m.

The eighth annual Community Health and Wellness Fair is sponsored by The W, HyVee and Waverly Health Center.

Free health screenings, samples of healthy foods, local vendors and a variety of health-related information will be available in The W Hall of Champions. The Waverly Farmers Market will be outside The W’s north entrance. Early-season plants, homemade goods and crafts from local vendors will be available for purchase.

Dr. Nasreen Wahidi, a Waverly Health Center pediatrician, will talk about “Getting Your Kids to Eat a Rainbow of Colors” at 9 a.m. The W fitness staff will offer a free yoga demonstration at 10 a.m. and cardio dance class at 10:30 a.m.

Supervised fun for preschool through fourth-grade children will be available in The W East Classroom.

Prizes, including $100 gift cards to local businesses and two May-August memberships to The W, will be given away.
