The Wartburg Flute Choir and Wartubium, a low-brass ensemble, will perform Tuesday, April 7, 6:30 p.m., in Sandra Rada Orchestra Hall of Bachman Fine Arts Center.

 

The free recital is open to the public.

 

The 16-member flute choir, under the direction of Dominique Cawley, senior lecturer in music, will perform “Coffee Break” by Gary Schocker, “Melange of Neumes” by Stephen Lias and “Purple Earth” by Samantha Cooke.

The low-brass ensemble, directed by Richard Scheffel, senior lecturer in music, comprises euphonium and tuba students. Senior Anthony Lynn will guest conduct “Fanfares,” a piece he composed for the program. Other Wartubium selections include “Salvation is Created” by Paul Tchesnokov and “The Dark Chocolate Suite” by Barbara York.
