Knight Out students enjoying the campus mall

New Student Information

We are so excited that you’re Wartburg-bound and will be joining our community this fall. You’re about to begin an incredible journey filled with new experiences, opportunities, and friendships. This website is here to help you prepare for your arrival on campus and feel confident and ready as you officially begin life as a Knight!

As a first-year student, you’ll be supported every step of the way, starting with your experience in our First‑Year Residence Halls. These communities are designed to help you transition to college life, build connections, and feel at home.

  1. Your Wartburg experience begins with SOAR Day (Summer Orientation, Advising, and Registration). During SOAR, you’ll register for classes, complete your housing form, get your student ID, and more. Use the checklists in your Wartburg Admissions Portal to stay on track as you complete important tasks like parking registration, health forms, the housing application, and more.
  2. New Student Orientation will introduce you to campus life, help you connect with fellow students, and prepare you for success both inside and outside the classroom.
  3. SEM 100, your first-year seminar course, is designed to introduce you to academic expectations, campus resources, and life at Wartburg. You’ll also have an upperclass peer mentor who will help support you during your first year.
