Current and former members of the Wartburg College Board of Regents will be grand marshals of the college’s Homecoming parade Saturday, Oct. 18.

The regents — hundreds have served the college throughout its history — were selected as grand marshals for their dedicated service, continuing support, and unflagging leadership to the college. About 30 current and former regents will lead the parade in either a horse-drawn wagon or trolley.

“The volunteer regents give of their time, talents and treasures to ensure that Wartburg continues to be an investment that is worth it for our students, alumni, faculty and staff,” said Renee Voves, director of alumni and parent relations and annual giving.

The board, serving as the college’s governing body, is responsible for the college’s financial matters and is guided by the mission of the institution to challenge and nurture students for lives of leadership and service as a spirited expression of their faith and learning.
