Andrea Eslick, assistant professor of psychology at Wartburg College, will be the featured speaker at the college’s mid-year Commencement on Sunday, Dec. 10.

The program begins at 10:30 a.m. in Wartburg Chapel. A reception will follow in the Bachman Fine Arts Center lobby.

Eslick, the recipient of the 2017 John O. Chellevold Student Award for Excellence in Teaching and Professional Service, will speak on “Imposters, Impasses and Other Illusions.”

About 30 students are expected to participate in the commencement ceremony. In addition, August Waltmann, a 1964 Wartburg graduate and professor emeritus of mathematics, will be awarded the Wartburg Medal, which recognizes individuals who have provided significant service to the college and demonstrated a personal commitment to Wartburg’s mission.
