The Wartburg College Knightliters Jazz Band will perform its annual Autumn Jazz concert Saturday, Nov. 14.

The 7:30 p.m. performance in McCaskey Lyceum in Saemann Student Center is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Allan Jacobson, senior lecturer in music, the Knightliters will perform arrangements by jazz legends Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman and Frank Mantooth. Bass soloist Noah Hickman, a sophomore from Sheldon, will be featured during the band’s performance of a transcription of Duke Ellington's “Jack The Bear.”

“This concert should have something for everyone who appreciates jazz music,” Jacobson said. “The band has several new members this fall and has worked hard for their first appearance.”
