Branding Toolkit
Branding Toolkit
The Experience More™ branding is our promise to our students and the community about the experience they can consistently expect to have when they interact with our college. Branding is crucial as it shapes our identity, reputation, and perception among all audiences. A strong brand helps the college attract top talent, both students and faculty/staff, fostering a sense of pride among the community and differentiating the college from its competitors. The Experience More™ branding is intended to create a lasting impression and an emotional connection, which will ultimately contribute to the college’s sustained growth and success. These standards were created to help bring the image and personality of Wartburg College to life. Consistent application of these standards over time will benefit Wartburg through improved awareness, recognition, and professional appearance. This toolkit is available to faculty and staff as a resource for templates that can be used to enhance the image of Wartburg College.
Questions regarding this kit can be directed to Chris Knudson, chief marketing officer and director of Marketing & Communication.
These treatments should be used for student recruitment and alumni audiences. Visit www.wartburg.edu/logos for the official institution logo and guidelines. Use only one type treatment or logo per piece.
In addition to the logos and elements used to create the Wartburg College brand, color and typography play a big role in establishing a consistent look and feel. Please download the Branding Toolkit above for complete details.
Color
The Wartburg brand is rooted heavily in our iconic orange. The use of the correct, consistent orange strengthens our brand and identity. Tertiary colors support our orange-first color palette.
Typography
Strong, consistent typography helps reinforce our brand aesthetic. Our typographic style is rooted in the stability and heritage of Garamond, while modernized by the sans serifs Filson Pro and Avenir.
FINDING FONTS
Not all fonts may be available on your system. Here are resources to help you match the style as best as possible.
PC users:
Please use Avenir Next LT Pro as the sans serif for both headlines and text, and Garamond where appropriate.
Mac users:
Filson Pro & Garamond Premier are available from Adobe Creative Cloud. If Avenir LT Std is not available, please use Montserrat as an alternate. ITC or Adobe Garamond are also suitable replacements for Garamond Premier.
