Rental Properties
All College properties are well maintained, non-smoking, and very close to campus. Leases are a year in duration. Property deposit is one month’s rent. Tenants are responsible for mowing the yard and shoveling the sidewalks/driveway. Tenants are also responsible for all utilities.
Pet Owners: A non-refundable $300 Pet Fee and a $500 Pet Rental Deposit is due at signing of the Wartburg College Pet Agreement. The rent for the pet is $75 per month per pet and due at the same time as property rent.
The College has an online application process for rental properties. All adult prospective tenants will need to complete an application and pay the application fee of $55. Applications will be reviewed and scored in the order received. Applicants are scored on credit score, criminal/sexual history, payment history, collections, rent to income ratio, late or NSF rent in last 24 months, average length of residency, and employment history. If an applicant is approved, $30 of each application fee will be applied to the first month’s rent.
