Ordering Textbooks & Other Course Materials

Wartburg College does not house physical books, so students need to make plans for purchasing materials through other vendors. To view and purchase required and recommended textbooks and course materials, visit Wartburg’s Online Bookstore, which offers:

  • A personalized list of registered courses and the textbooks/course materials assigned to each.
  • Free shipping on retail orders over $79.
  • New, used, eBook, and rental textbook formats.
  • A quick ordering process — purchases can be made in as little as 5 minutes.
  • Year-round access to post and sell any textbooks at a price you pick.

Textbook orders delivered directly to campus will be available for pickup at the Mail Center.

Day-One Digital Materials is a course materials affordability program that ensures every student has access to their required digital content on the first day of class with savings of up to 60%. You can receive your materials directly through Canvas. We encourage you to access all digital materials on the first day of class to ensure they work as expected.

You will automatically be enrolled in this program if any of your Wartburg courses are providing materials through it. If you do not wish to use this service, you must opt out by the deadline each term. Benefits include:

  • Cost savings. Materials are provided at a lower price than traditional retail.
  • Accuracy. Guaranteed correct materials for your specific course sections.
  • Convenience. Instant digital access via Canvas on the first day of class.
  • Automatic billing. Costs are charged directly to your Wartburg College student account; no separate purchase is necessary.
