Wartburg College Symphonic Band to perform April 7 with Flute Choir, Wartubium

The Wartburg College Symphonic Band will perform its spring concert on Saturday, April 7, at 4 p.m., in Neumann Auditorium on the Wartburg campus.

The Wartburg Flute Choir and Wartubium, a tuba and euphonium choir, also will perform.

Under the direction of Scott Muntefering, the Symphonic Band will perform “Prairie Dances” by David Holsinger, “Chorale and Shaker Dance” by John Zdechlik and “Valdres” arranged by Glenn Bainum among others.

Wartubium, under the direction of Richard Scheffel, will play “Cinematic Fantasy” by Zach Collins. Noah Hickman, a senior in music education, will conduct the Wartubium when they play “Salvation is Created” by Pavel Tchesnokov. The Flute Choir, under the direction of Dominique Cawley, will perform “Latino Contemp” by Ricky Lombardo.
