Several Wartburg College ensembles will put on a holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 1.
The free concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Bachman Fine Arts Center’s Band Hall. Featured ensembles include the Symphonic Holiday Band, the Wartburg Trumpet Choir and Wartubium, a tuba and euphonium choir.
The holiday band will perform “Variations on Dona Nobis Pacem” by James Suddeth, “Adestes Fideles” by Morton Gould and “Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson.
Scott Muntefering, the Eugene and Ruth Weidler Drape Distinguished Professor in Music Education, and Rich Scheffel, Wartburg professor, will conduct the ensembles.
