Safety & Security
.The Safety and Security staff at Wartburg College plays a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. They provide regular patrols of campus buildings and grounds, monitor access to facilities, and respond to calls for assistance at all hours. Their presence helps deter crime, address safety concerns quickly, and ensure that campus policies related to security are followed. The team also works closely with local emergency services when situations require additional support.
Beyond day-to-day security, the Safety and Security staff is deeply involved in emergency preparedness and community support. They assist with incident reporting, provide safety escorts, manage lost-and-found services, and help coordinate responses to weather events or other emergencies. Just as importantly, they focus on building relationships within the campus community—answering questions, offering guidance, and helping students feel supported. Through prevention, responsiveness, and collaboration, they contribute to a campus culture where people can focus on learning and living with confidence.
