The Wartburg Medal
The Board of Regents of Wartburg College created a special recognition award, The Wartburg Medal, in 2000. The medal is awarded by the College to recognize individuals who have provided significant service to the College over a sustained period and who have a personal commitment to the College’s mission, quality, and character. The Wartburg Medal, designed as a medallion of the College seal, will be bestowed at a formal academic convocation.
A maximum of three Wartburg Medals will be awarded each year. The medal can be awarded to living alumni, friends, and retired faculty and staff who have demonstrated a personal commitment to the College’s mission, quality, and character.
Nominations are reviewed by the President’s Senior Leadership Team and a recommendation for approval of the nominees is made to the Board of Regents.
