Kim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in history and master’s degree in educational leadership and policy analysis. She recently completed her doctorate in postsecondary education: student affairs at the University of Northern Iowa. Kim has worked at colleges in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, and is passionate about helping students feel supported as they navigate their college experience.

Kim began working at Wartburg in 2025 as the Director of First-Year Experience and Retention. As a first-generation college student herself, Kim cares deeply about creating a welcoming environment and making sure students have the resources and guidance they need to succeed.

Outside of work, Kim lives in Cedar Falls with her partner, Jason; two sons, Alex and Ben; and two dogs. She enjoys reading a good book, taking a walk outside, and a good cup of coffee!
